St Ergnats started to introduce hurling into the club approximately 4 years ago in 2011 on a trial basis, as it was evident through the schools that there was a keen interest for the sport amongst the kids. 

The Hurling has since then become more established with several teams at underage and regular coaching taking place on a Saturday morning for preschool children to U14. 

​The U12 and U14 boys and girls now participate in regular league fixtures.

There has been an amalgamation with Ahoghill at U16 level due to limited numbers, the teams name is "Le Cheile" which is Irish for "together" and is coached by members of each club.
